The upper Tellico Off Highway Vehicle area is located on the Tennessee/North Carolina border between Murphy, NC and Tellico Plains, TN.  A maze of old logging roads provides an excellent off highway opportunity for ATVs, motorcycles and 4x4 vehicles.  Each trail is numbered, rated (Easiest, More Difficult or Most Difficult) and marked with trail markers.  The trails are usually wet, making traction even more difficult.  This video documents a group of vehicles as they travel across some of the most difficult trails in the system.  The group begins with Trails #9 & #7.  Then they run Trails #2 & #11 and on the last day they scaled Trail #12.  This video includes several trails: The Guard Rail, Helicopter Pad, Mistletoe and School Bus Hill. 1999.
