Rick Russell's
Off Highway Adventure Series
Moab Trails Volume IIIRick Russells
third Moab video includes three trails. The Hell's
Revenge Trail, rated Most Difficult, which traverses slickrock and sandy
washes. This 4x4 trail also crisscrosses the famous "Slickrock Bike Trail."
Both trails make steep climbs and descents that keep you a the edge of your
seat during most of the ride. The final obstacle is Tip-Over Challenge,
which does have a bypass. The second trail is Moab
Rim Trail, also rated Most Difficult. The Moab Rim Trail begins just south
of town along the Colorado River. The first mile scales the edge of the
mountain. Narrow sections with a cliff on one side, tight turns and ledges
to climb make this trail both challenging and scenic. As the trail gains
altitude, the views become even more spectacular until finally reaching a
vista overlooking the town of Moab. The trails loops through sand hills and
over slickrock before retracing its route. Pritchett Canyon is the third
trail on this video. This has been the roughest trail on the list of Safari
Trails for many years. The steep climbs and ledges make this trail one to
remember. Our cameras captured a roll-over from several angles. Running time approximately
74
minutes. DVD
